Cherries Down To Bare Bones

With Adam Barrett, Harry Arter and Nathan Byrne taken off against Exeter City due to injury, the Cherries are back down to their bare bones again as injuries take their toll.

Manager Lee Bradbury is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "We are down to the bare bones so I will have to look at the loan market again because it is pressing due to the injuries we picked up at Exeter. We lost three players during the game and a couple of others were carrying injuries at the end. Barrett and Arter were both due to be assessed by Cherries’ medical staff yesterday, although Bradbury said it would be too early to give a prognosis on their respective conditions until their symptons had subsided. However, with Byrne hobbling away from St James’s Park with his right ankle protected by an air-cast boot, he is likely to have an X-ray during the early part of this week and could almost certainly be set for a spell on the sidelines. We had a few injuries and there were a few changes against Exeter. But the lads that came in and those that had to change positions dealt with it very well and were organised and did a very good job. Everybody worked hard and needed to because Exeter were pushing on at the end. The way we stayed in the game and our levels of professionalism were great. We did what we had to do and put into place the plan we had".
