AFC Bournemouth have signed Crawley Twon striker, Wes Thomas, initally on a 93-day loan, with the intention of parting with a six-figure sum to make it a permanent move when the transfer window opens in January.

Manager Lee Bradbury is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "He had been on my list of summer targets but ended up going to Crawley. I think he was disappointed there because he had not playing. There are two lads in front of him who are scoring regularly and they are top of their league. I watched him in the reserve game on Tuesday and then spoke to Steve Evans about him. I saw it as a good opportunity to make an approach and Steve reluctantly agreed to let him go. He works very hard and defends from the front. He is quick, strong and has a good goalscoring record, albeit in League Two. I think he will be more than capable of getting goals in this division with his athleticism and work rate".
