Cherries Mean Defence

Having stepped back in to the side, following Miles Addisons injury, an excellent understanding has built up between Steve Cook and Tommy Elphick, which in turn has seen the Cherries defense tighten up as the side has climbed the table.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Cook is quoted as saying: "We have had a settled back five and everyone has showed concentration and work-rate. Tommy leads very well from the back. He is a very good captain, stepping in for Miles, and that is what you have got to have in a squad like ours. We perform as a team and that is crucial. We have got a young side and we are all still learning, so it is all about togetherness and we just need to kick on".
