Cherries legend, Steve Fletcher is urging the first team to show their character and committment as they bid to overcome a relatively poor start to a season.

Big Fletch is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "If we show the character, commitment and desire we showed for the majority of the Hartlepool game and in the past couple of games, and play the way we did with every player wanting to get on the ball, we will be fine. We have just got to grind out positive results. If we play like we did on Saturday, nine times out of 10 we will win. We have got to do everything we have been doing since Bradders and me took over – nothing changes. We are trying to become more professional. Bradders and me are learning each day, we have got a new squad and they are all learning. The lads have been fantastic for us and everybody comes in and trains well all week. That is what we have got to keep doing. It is a bad period results-wise but we have played a lot worse than we did against Hartlepool and won games. I hope we can grind out a positive result when we don’t play so well and get a victory because we definitely deserve that".
