Cherries Raid Upton Park Again

With the Cherries experiencing a mini goal keeping crisis, the Club have made a second move in the loan market, this time to sign Stephen Henderson on loan from West Ham United, for a period of three months.

The move was forced on the Cherries who will be without Ryan Allsop, through a one-match suspension, and Darryl Flahavan, who has thigh strain, while Jalal seems to be out of favour at the moment and Buchel recovers from a lengthy lay off, leaving the Dorset club with few options.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, manager Eddie Howe is quoted as saying: "We have lost Ryan through suspension and Darryl picked up a thigh strain coming for a ball at Leeds on Tuesday so we felt we needed to bring in an experienced goalkeeper who has played the level. Stephen is a good shot-stopper, experienced, a good kicker and good coming for crosses so he ticks all the boxes and we are delighted to have brought him in. I am sure he will do well and will enjoy being here and playing some games".
