Cherries Sign Bradbury

AFC Bournemouth have strengthened the front line by signing Lee Bradbury on loan from League One rivals Southend United until January 2nd, 2008.

Bradbury started his playing days on the Isle Of Wight at Cowes Sports before moving to Portsmouth in August 1995. Since then he has played for Exeter City (on loan), Manchester City (in a move worth £3 million), then Crystal Palace, Birmingham City (on loan), back to Portsmouth, two loan periods at Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County before moving to Walsall in 2004 and Oxford United and finally to Southend United in January 2006.

In that time he has played 383 League appearances, scoring 82 times; 15 in the FA Cup, scoring 6 times; 23 League cup appearances, scoring 5 times and 4 other appearances in other competitions.

It is not known (yet) whether Bradbury will be available for the away day trip to Doncaster Rovers on August 25th.
