The Cherries have signed Czech Rebublic youth international goal keeper Marek Stech from West Ham United on an emergency 7-day loan after the Football League gave permission for the signing to take place.

The 6ft 3in, 19 year old keeper is set to make his debut against Morecambe after it was revealed that resident keepers Shwan Jalal and Dan Thomas would not be fit enough for the long trip north.

Shwan Jalal is suffering from a calf injury, while Dan Thomas is experiencing back problems. Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Eddie Howe is quoted as saying: "The grade one tear means Jalal is not going to be available. Dan’s back has been plaguing him for a couple of weeks and it has got to the stage where he’s not fit either, so we had to bring Marek in".
