AFC Bournemouth have announced that they have captured the signature of Shaun MacDonald from Swansea City, for a fee believed to be in the region of £125,000, on a 2-year deal.

Manager Lee Bradbury is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echoas saying: "I have seen Shaun play a few times and he is a quality midfielder. It is a really good capture for us. It is a very positive step for the club".

The 23-year-old will be no stranger to the Cherries having scored a late equaliser at Huish Park last season when AFC Bournemouth let a 2-0 slip against Yeovil Town back at Easter.

It is not known whether the deal was done in time for International clearance to come through, from the Welsh FA, for MacDonald to line up against Walsall on Saturday.
