Cherries v Toffees

Last updated : 21 January 2007 By Bournemouth Co-Ordinator
As both sides are out of the FA Cup, AFC Bournemouth are to entertain Everton in a friendly fixture on January 27th - FA Cup Fourth Round day.

Kevin Bond, speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo is quoted as saying: "It'll be good to test ourselves against one of the best sides in the country. We've got a blank weekend, so have Everton and it is always better for players to be playing games rather than just training. It can get a bit monotonous. These are top Premiership stars, Everton's team is full of internationals so it's good for my players and just as good for the supporters ................... I know David Moyes and Alan Irvine well - they were glad to be able to organise a game because they play Liverpool the following weekend. David has told me that he will be bringing his full first-team squad so it should be a great occasion and we're hoping a big crowd will turn out for it".

Kick off is at 2pm GMT.
