The long awaited move of Adam Lallana from Southampton to Liverpool has finally been completed for a sum reported to be in the region of £25m.

The Cherries will benefit as they are entitled to a 25% sell on given the deal which took Lallana away from Dean Court when he was still a teenager.

The Cherries are due to collect something in the region of £4m.

From a Cherries perspective, Chief Exec Neil Blake is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "The transfer fee was undisclosed which means our cut will also remain undisclosed, but it was certainly not as simple as 25 per cent of any fee which has been reported by the press over the past few weeks. There were lots of small sacrifices that had to be made by all parties for the deal to happen, but I think each club involved, and the player himself, can be very happy with the final outcome".
