Cherries With Financial Security

With the sales of Brett Pitman and Josh McQuoid, and more recently the compensation to be received from Burnley following the departure of Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall; Eddie Mitchell is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo saying that the Cherries have financial security for the time being: "We haven’t had all the Pitman money, we’ve have a small amount of Josh’s money and none of Eddie’s money so it’s not as if we’ve had a big cash windfall. It will come in and is as good as money in the bank and gives the club some security. We’ve decided we’re going to put some asphalt on the car park in February and have got to address things as they are. It’s a business we are running, not just a football club because it has to meet at each end and has to come out on a positive. One day, most clubs will have to run that way. Hopefully, we will buck the trend and show profits each year".
