Chester City Reaction - Cherries

Speaking on the Clubs Official Web Site, Steve Fletcher was quoted as saying: "It was a massive win, colossal. I suppose before the game you try and play down the significance of it and Eddie tried to keep the boys as calm as possible to get us to just go out and play our football. The boys are not naive though and they knew the importance of the game. We read papers and listen to the radio, you just can't help it! The support was fantastic and it gave the boys a massive lift to see so many up there from Bournemouth. It's absolutely amazing that so many people made a 500 mile round trip to come and support us, and it was like an extra man for us. We could have had the game dead and buried well before the second goal, and once we got that, we played some great football. We always knew we were the better team, but we had to go out and prove it and we did that. We now have a massive game next week against Grimsby and we have to go again. It's not done and dusted and we have one more hurdle to cross, and that's to get what we need to stay up. We're not interested in hoping that events elsewhere will secure our status, it's in our own hands and we want to do it ourselves".
