Speaking on BBC Radio Solent Kevin Bond was quoted as saying: "I'm obviously chuffed to bits to get a good performance and a good solid win. I thought everyone did the jobs that we'd asked them to. It was a difficult day with a really tricky bumpy pitch - it was difficult to get the ball down and play. I thought we ground out what is a terffic win for us away from home. We were trying to play to our strengths and mix it up a little bit if we can. We got one and could have got another one. Hayts was in there just at the right time and obviously chuffed for him just to get back on the score sheet. At times it was almost impossible, so tight in there, that it made it difficult to get the ball down and play but when it wasn't on I just said to the players just try and get in behind the full backs and turn them around and push in from there. Look at Jack Cork who I thought just tried to play, and tried to play continously. Sometimes the ball just got away from him but most of the time, on a surface that is difficult, he can still make you play. They threw everything at us late on and I thought our back four were excellent, defended for their lives. Mossy came and gathered a few late on which really takes the pressure off you so we were delighted with that side of the game which hasn't always been in place. It gives you a boost in confidence - to win away from home. But the most important thing, because everyone around us won today as well, is that we need to stay in touch with them and the three points was what we needed most of all. It's more pleasing that it has come away from home but hopefully that will do us the world of good".

Sam Vokes was also interviewed after the match on BBC Radio Solent. Here is what he had to say: "It's a great result. There is a great feeling in the dressing room after that. And I think it is a well deserved victory up here, we worked hard, dug in together and a great goal that got us the win. It's something we have worked on in training and it's paid off. Me and Browner were on the front post, Daz put it in, I flicked it on and luckily Hayts was in the right place at the right time. We've got to take every game as it comes and try and get as many points as we can on the road. We like to get it down and play and that is much easier at Dean Court but on a pitch like this, all bobbly, it is hard to do that. But I think we dealt with the conditions well. We were camped in our own half but coming to a place like this when the fans get behind them, then it is hard to get out and play but I think we dug in well. It's a great feeling to keep being involved, starting today. I'm going with the Welsh U21's tomorrow. We've got Northern Ireland away in Belfast on Tuesday afternoon so that will be a good experience".
