Chesterfield Reaction - Cherries

Following the defeat, which leaves the Cherries at least 5 points adrift of safety, ahead of the matches due to be played on Saturday, manager Eddie Howe is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying about Shaun Cooper's injury: "It looks like he's tweaked a groin and it's going to be a big blow for us because Coops has been outstanding all season. We missed him last week and we're going to miss him again. But I don't know how long for".

And on the defeat Howe is quoted as saying: "I was saying there's a long way to go. We have 15 games to go and we won't win all of them, we'll try to but we won't. I said not to let their heads drop after one defeat. It's a marathon not a sprint and although it hurts to lose - I thought we deserved at least a point - we have to move on to the next game and I don't want to see any moping around. The lads have got to be positive because of how they played in the second half. There's no time for moping around because we have another massive game on Tuesday".
