Speaking after the match, the Chesterfield manager, Lee Richardson, is quoted as saying: "I'm a little disappointed because we took the lead and could have perhaps held on to get the win, but if you'd offered me four points from our last two games I would have taken it. Jamie's had the last touch on the ball and some of the lads have said the header was going wide, but he couldn't get himself out of the way and that's how these things go sometimes. Given how bad the conditions were it was an ok game of football, but neither team could really show their true self because it was so horrendous out there".
