Concentrating On My Own Game - Hollands

With a loss of forn, Danny Hollands is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I’ve spoken to Eddie a few times and have agreed with him that I haven’t been performing as well as I would have liked or as well as I did last season. He said giving the captaincy to Jason might take a bit of pressure off and help me concentrate on my own game. It was good of him to see that and to try to help me. It isn’t nice when you aren’t playing to the potential you know you can and I know what I’ve got to do. It’s a challenge and I’m up for that challenge. Eddie can see I’ve been getting frustrated. I’ve got to make sure I get my game right and I want to do it for the team. If I’m not performing well, I’m a weakness to the team. People go through dips in form and it’s up to me to get back to how I want to be playing. I’m not the only one and some of the other lads have agreed that they haven’t been performing either. I know I’ve got to step up my game and I know a few of the other lads feel the same about themselves. We all feel there is plenty more to come and are desperate to achieve something this season. But if we keep performing like we are, we might not achieve anything and we don’t want that to happen".
