Constant Criticism!

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Phillips is quoted as saying: "It is ironic that we get criticised constantly for not signing players on long enough contracts - except of course the ones who are injured and we've signed those for too long! You can always look back with hindsight and say we shouldn't have signed this player or that player because he's always injured. But there is no way to know who will be injured until after the event. How can you predict that Josh Gowling will suffer a cruciate knee ligament injury in the first few seconds at Brentford, or that Steve Foley will injure his ankle five minutes after joining us permanently or that James O'Connor will fall down the stairs and cut his hand open? That is sheer bad luck".
