Gareth Stewart has been offered, and has signed a two year deal to remain at Dean Court until 2007, even though appearances for the first team have been limited to the LDV Vans Trophy and on the rare occassion when Neil Moss has been injured. Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, manager Sean O'Driscoll, is quoted as saying: "Gareth's played in our first team and he's well capable of playing in our first team. He knows that, we know that and I think Neil Moss knows that as well. We see him as a first-team goalkeeper and not as a back-up".
