The ever popular and versatile Shaun Cooper is to be sidelined for anything up to 6-months following an operation on a hip injury.

On the injury, team mate Steve Fletcher is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "For me, I think he's the best player in the team. We're a far better team when he's in it and I think we miss him terribly when he's not. He's very talented, comfortable on the ball and he's got a massive chance in the game. He should be playing at a higher level but, thankfully for us, he's not. We're very fortunate to have a player like Shaun. I'm surprised he hasn't gone a couple of divisions higher because I rate him that highly. I notice the difference when he's not in the team. He would be my first name on the team sheet every week".

Cherries physio, Steve Hard is quoted as saying: "It was a big operation and he will be out for a minimum of four months. He is now on crutches for a month and will not be able to jog for three months, so in reality by the time he regains his match fitness, it will be around six months".
