Cooper Ready For Another Promotion Bid

With the League One season about to kick-off for another year, Shaun Cooper is keen to prove that the Cherries were not one-year wonders in the 3rd tier.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Cooper is quoted as saying: "It will be different from last season because it was our first game back in League One and there were a few lads who had not played at that level. The difference in the two halves was there for everyone to see. We were a bit tentative for the first 45 minutes but gave it a go in the second half and came away with a lot of positives. We knew we could do well and had nothing to fear. Although we won’t be seen as such big underdogs this season, I think some people may view what we did as a one-off so it will be up to us to prove we have got it in us to do it again. The lads we have brought in are all good players and, while we have lost big players as well, they have left gaps for other people to come in and do well. The lads we have signed and the ones who maybe didn’t play last season are all more than capable".
