With their push for promotion beginning to waver in recent weeks, manager Eddie Howe was delighted with the win over Crewe Alexandra, being quoted on BBC Radio Solent after the match as saying: "I thought we looked dangerous and always likely to score today. I thought it was a really good spectacle and a really good game. I thought Steve Fletcher and Brett Pitman were a real handful today. Fletch was great in the air and Brett fed off him".
