Speaking on BBC Radio Solent after the match, assistent boss, and stand in defender, Jason Tindall, was quoted as saying: "It was funny because me and Ed were talking yesterday and it got to quarter to 12 and close to the cut-off for registering and he told me I'd better go and see the secretary to register myself because we were short on numbers and couldn't get Jake Thomson in. It was lucky I did because Ryan Garry went down with cramp and I came on and did okay. I had a little bit of a panic. I didn't really warm up too much and all of a sudden the lads on the bench said 'you better get warm'. I thought Ryan would be okay but then Eddie said 'you've got to go on' and I didn't really have too much time to think about it. I just went on there and tried to use my experience and help the lads along. It was a difficult game and the lads were just so, so delighted because they worked their socks off and got their just rewards in the end. I'm not going to lie and say I wasn't nervous. It's been a long time since I played a competitive match but I enjoyed it, even more so when I saw Mark Molesley stick the ball in the corner of the net with only 20 seconds to go".
