Manager Eddie Howe was disappointed with the defeat, being quoted on BBC Radio Solent after the match as saying: "I didn't think it was a penalty, there was minimal contact. We tried different things to try and get a goal and it never happened. It just wasn't to be today, we lacked a little bit of quality in the final third".
