Dani In Doubt

Even though Dani Rodrigues has already agreed to sign a new deal at Dean Court, it seems that agent power may not see Dani actually signing for AFC Bournemouth for another year.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, manager Sean O'Driscoll is quoted as saying: "Dani's representatives are looking for recompense for the re-engagement of Dani's contract. The amount that has been mentioned is way beyond our means. It is slightly worrying that someone would ask for the amount of money they are asking for to re-sign a player that we already have on the books. At this level, agents rarely ask for a fee for a re-engagement for a contract as the player hasn't actually moved and the terms of the contract haven't changed. Dani has indicated he would re-sign but his agent's fees are beyond the scope of this club or the player himself. Obviously, that means there is a hitch while we work out what happens next".
