Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo he is quoted as saying: "It was a bit difficult because I had an offer from Guimaraes to come back to Portugal. It was very tempting. My agent was talking to them but there were a few delays with them coming up with a concrete offer. I had a deadline to decide from Bournemouth as well, so I made my mind up to stay for another season in England. I'm happy with my decision and I'm already looking forward to getting back for pre-season".
