Darlington Reaction - Cherries

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, caretaker manager Eddie Howe was quoted as saying: "I can't tell you how disappointed I am really. thought the lads were fantastic and gave me absolutely everything and that's all you can ask. We defended absolutely superbly and I don't think they had a lot of chances. On the break, we looked dangerous and I'm just so, so disappointed we didn't come away with something. We just switched off for a moment for their first goal. And the second one, until you see it again, you don't know whether it was a penalty or not. We had a game plan, we stuck to it and I thought the lads were terrific. I'd have liked us to have kept the ball a bit better - at times I think we could've played a little bit more football with a little bit more quality. But I think that's nit-picking because I said before the game I was after a performance and the right attitude, and I think they gave both so I'm pleased really".
