A deal to sell AFC Bourenemouth to a (yet) unknown consortium, is said to have been completed, and according to Chairman Paul Baker, speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo he is quoted as saying: "We've transacted on a deal, a bid is in place. When I can let you know who it is I'll be in a position to say. It will become public who it is in the fullness of time. They've transacted on the full deal. The legals are to be completed but the deal, as far as I'm concerned, is now transacted and new owners will be announced in due course. I'm in contact with the winning bidder and once I've liased with them whether they want to go public they will call a press conference. Until they relax the confidentiality agreement, I can't tell you any more. They have lodged monies and the new owners will come forward in the next few days. There's been no need for a deposit because the deal, in full, has been transacted to satisfaction".

he goes on to say: "I'm at the Football League AGM in Portugal as a representative of the club on the basis that I'm still carrying that baton. I need to be here to deal with things and I will be relaying that to the new owners".
