Demouge On His English Move

Having declined various options to remain on continental Europe, new signing Frank Demouge insists that a move to League One AFC Bournemouth was the best for him.

The 6ft 3 striker is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying on his move to England: "My agent came to me and said Bournemouth were interested in me. In the first moment, I did not know what to expect and I did not know too much about the club. I was on holiday and when I came back, I visited the club and the people working here gave me a really good feeling about it. I also had some other options but Bournemouth gave me the best feeling. A lot of people in Holland didn’t understand why I did it but, for me, I think it is a good step and I want to get to the Championship with the club. I am excited to see everybody. It is a new club for me and a new place. In Holland, if you go to another club, you know some of the players. Here, I don’t know anything. I have no apartment, no car and I am alone here, so I need to meet the people and the players, and I am sure I will be fine and find my way really fast".

Speaking on the Clubs Official Web Site, Demouge is also quoted as saying: "I've played in the Premier League in Holland for almost 11 years and I know that league, and I'm looking forward to playing here and I hope I can help the club. Everyone watches English football and there are a lot of Dutch players in the Premier League. I spoke to a couple of them and they said it was great to play here. I know this is a lower level but I hope to find my way here as soon as possible".
