Speaking in tribute, Peter Phillips is quoted on the Clubs Official Web Site as saying: "It has been a pleasure to have John as a boardroom colleague over the past two years . He has always given his time generously to the club, and his business experience has been invaluable over this very tough period. The relationship between the club and Sewards has also gone from strength to strength. We all hope that John is soon back to full health, and I am sure that he will continue to be a major figure at the club in the years ahead".
