Commenting on the trio of penalties awarded during the match, manager Sean O'Driscoll was quoted afterwards as saying on BBCi: "I've got to see the video, but Neil Young said he never touched the lad at all (for Rovers' first penalty), so the referee got that one wrong. I've just asked Marcus Browning what their second one was for, and he said that it must have been given for a push or a hand on the shoulder. But I didn't think that ours was a penalty either".

For Donny Rovers, their assistant was quoted after the match as saying: "It was a great exhibition of football by two good sides, but I felt we killed them off with the tempo that we played at. I'd said in the last few weeks that we're getting better and that before long we'd start scoring a few goals - and we could have had six or seven".
Penalty?
