Our Club Chairman, Peter Phillips, speaking to BBCi is quoted as saying: "We shouldn't count our chickens. Burnley are a good side, but we'd love to play Liverpool. If we get to play at Anfield, it's bound to be worth at least £250,000 to us - that's big money for a club like us and would make a real difference .... Most clubs at our levels have problems - we are in debt, but something like this is a massive boost".

Of the players to comment, Steve Fletcher is quoted as saying: "I have been here for 13 years now and it's the first time we have had a major tie like this .... I have been a Liverpool fan since I was a child so it would be a dream come true for me to face them. We will be hoping that Liverpool beat Burnley. Turf Moor wouldn't be an easy place to go to and people will understand who we have our fingers crossed to win."
