Early Sale Of South Coast Club Tickets

In a bid to ease cash flow, and eat in to the remaining debt, AFC Bournemouth have announced that tickets for next March's return match against South Coast Club are to go on sale more than 5 months ahead of the match.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Cherries Chairman Eddie Mitchell is quoted as saying: "In these times where you need cash, you’ve got to promote your products as early as you can, so that’s what we’re doing. It’s no different to any of the fashion shops – their spring collection comes in in February and their winter collection comes in in August, maybe even earlier sometimes. Why are they doing that when you don’t need an overcoat until November or December? You’re producing cash. We can only sell once a fortnight as regards to the main football that’s taking place, so this is something we can sell early. I know that there will be a demand because lots of people have already asked us when they are going on sale, so they don’t miss out. We want to make it as public as possible that they are going on sale on Saturday. Of course, it’s to generate cash, it’s stupid not to do that. All businesses need cash to survive and all we’re doing is following the trend of every other business. To generate cash, each business needs to use its best products to get that cash in early".
