Eddie Is Back

Rounding off a roller-coaster week for Eddie Howe, the popular defender is back at Dean Court in the role of Development Officer for the Clubs' Centre Of Excellence.

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Howe is quoted as saying: "It's been a strange week to say the least but I'm delighted to be back. was very disappointed when I was told I was leaving. I've been associated with the club for a long time and when something like that happens it rocks you. I was pretty down for a few days and was mulling over my next move when the phone went and things fell into place again. Savi spoke to me about the possibility of coming back and we talked over the role. It's something I'm really excited and passionate about. Hopefully I can bring something different to it and we can build on what's already been put in place. I'm going to be responsible for bringing the players through from grass roots and although it's a huge challenge, I think it's one I can do and will be up to. I came through the youth ranks here so that will stand me in good stead in one aspect, while my experience of coaching at first-team level will also definitely help a lot. I'm looking forward to working with the kids and trying to improve them".
