Eddie On Season

Manager, Eddie Howe, speaks on the seasons achievements. The full interview can be found on the Clubs Official Web Site.

I can't complain about the way we performed in any game since I took charge. Defensively, we conceded nine goals in our last 18 matches, which is incredible at any level. We kept nine clean sheets in those games. The whole team can be proud of that record, the keeper, the back four, the front two who protect the midfield. You don't have a record like that without putting in a great deal of hard work on the training ground. All of the players worked so hard and their attitude and team spirit has been a credit to AFC Bournemouth.

It is important that we take that in to next season because we have proved that we can do it and that we are a good team. We have all said it, but hopefully now we can all move on together as a club and achieve success. The attitude of the lads is first class and that was shown at Morecambe in the final game where on paper there was nothing to play for. We all discussed this and as I said to them, there is no such thing as a match with nothing on it. There were three points at stake, people had travelled a long way to support us in good numbers, so for us, there was everything on it.
