Exeter City Reaction - Grecians

Speaking in the local Express & Echo, manager Paul Tisdale was quoted after the match as saying: "I think we contributed to our own downfall. We were 1-0 up at half-time and had done enough for our one-goal lead. They had to change their tactics three times in the first half, which was a sign of our strength. In the second half they were going to give it a shot as you would expect, but to give away the two goals we did — especially the first one — is crucial. Obviously it's disappointing. We have been in such good form and to lose 3-1 is a real downer for us, but I think we would be kidding ourselves if we thought we were going to win every game until the end of the season. When the league's so tight it's about consistency and when you have a setback like this we have to make sure we respond for Saturday. That's what our task is now — to make sure we don't take this disappointment into Saturday. It all comes down to moments in games. You can play great and not win and you can play poorly and not win. The goals we gave Bournemouth were soft. You can't begrudge them their win, but we were soft with those mistakes for their goals".
