FA Cup First Round Draw

Last updated : 31 October 2004 By Andy Burton
Following electrical problems at FA HQ, the draw for the Forst Round of the FA Cup was finally made and saw AFC Bournemouth drawn away from home against Conference strugglers Forest Green Rovers (Gloucestershire).

Forest Green Rovers have yet to set the Conference alight this season, having only won once (away to Woking), and only drawing once (home to Farnborough), loosing their other 13 matches. They are not bottom of the conference as Northwich Victoria have had 10 points deducted!

They safely negotiated their way in to the First Round proper, beating Weymouth's opponents in the Third Qualifying round, Thame, by a comfortable 5-0 scoreline away from home.

The tie is due to be played sometime over the weekend of November 13/14, but could be moved due to BBC/Sky Sports coverage as it's non-league v league!
Forest Green v AFCB on TV?

Of the non-league sides locally, Aldershot will host Canvey Island, Lymington & New Milton will travel to Notts County is they make it past Woking in a replay, and Salisbury City will play host to Walsall if they can negotiate their way past Slough Town.
