AFC Bournemouth were handed a home tie against Conference side Tamworth in the FA Cup First Round - tie to be played on November 5th (unless TV dictate otherwise).

Speaking after the draw, Tamworth manager Mark Cooper, was quoted on their official web site as saying: "We would have liked to have been drawn at home, but it's the FA Cup and anything can happen".

Congratulations to Weymouth for beating Conference side Cambridge United (2-1) in their Fourth Qualifying round game to set up a mouth watering tie against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

Of the other local non-league sides, Dorchester Town fell against Welling United (1-2). Basingstoke Town fell at home against ChippenhamTown (0-1). Our LDV opponents, Aldershot Town won claimed their place in the first round with a 1-0 away win over Bromley and now face Canvey Island or Burnham (a). Farnborough Town went down 2-0 in South Wales against Merthyr Tydfil, while Woking beat Thurrock 3-0 to set up an away tie against Southport.
