For Bournemouth Sean O'Driscoll was pleased with the overall performance being quoted as saying that: "On another day we might have scored four or five but they came to make it difficult and they did .... it was a game we had to get out of the way, but we've picked up one or two injuries which is disappointing. But the players who came in have done great jobs - Derek Holmes worked his socks off".

For Forest Green Rovers, their manager, Alan Lewer was quoted after the match as saying: "We acquitted ourselves well all night and overall I'm very pleased with the players because this is a difficult place to come. "You've got to remember that they are two divisions above us. There is a massive gulf between us. The boys are buoyant in the dressing room after the game and we think 2-1 would have been a fair scoreline. They can certainly be proud of themselves".
