FA Cup Reaction - Cherries

Manager Eddie Howe, speaking on BBC Radio Solent, was quoted as saying on the postponement: "It’s disappointing because when the away team and fans travel you want the game on. From our perspective, we wanted it on but you have to look at the positives in every situation and at least our pitch stays in one piece. My initial reaction when I saw the pitch was that the game could be in trouble because there was water lying on the top of it. With two or three steps on the pitch, you could tell how wet it was and I think anyone coming here today wouldn’t have seen a proper football match. It would have been a bit of a farce, so, in my opinion, the referee has made the right call, although it’s frustrating for everyone".

According to the Clubs Official Web Site, the tie has been rearranged for Tuesday 14th, January, ko @ 1945. Tickets for the original tie will be valid for the new date.
