FA Cup Reaction - Gills

Manager, Andy Hessanthaler, was quoted after the match as saying: "At 3-1 down with nineteen minutes to go you think at that stage it might all be over but we changed a couple of things, went 4-4-2, played a little bit more direct and it worked. The match had it all today to be fair and there could have been a lot more goals but there were a couple of cracking goals. Stephen Purches scored a good goal and then obviously the fantastic strike from Jack Payne but it was all action, end-to-end at times. I felt the first half was pretty even and we were comfortable at half time that we could maybe go on and win the game. Young Paulo Gazzaniga made an error for the second Bournemouth goal but to be fair to him he made some good saves as well. We have been using these balls all week and they are very light and do move around and in the keeper's defence it's not easy. We will look forward to the replay and playing Bournemouth in front of our fans at Priestfield and hopefully it will be an entertaining game".
