Feeney Frightens Defences

He may be back to his best, but Warren Cummings is full of admiration for Liam Feeney, being quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I like to get forward as much as I can, but there is no point in overlapping Liam because he is too quick! But it's great having him in front of me - I just give him the ball and let him get on with it. We had Wade Elliott in the past who was of a similar ilk, but Liam is a nightmare because he is so willing. If he gets tackled it doesn't bother him and he'll just go again. Eventually he gets the better of defenders because he's got so much pace. You can't not be scared of him because, as a full-back, he's so difficult to keep up with. He doesn't need any tricks because he can just kick the ball past them and off he goes. There is no point in trying to get in a race with him unless you have a three or four-yard start because he will beat you every time. I know how difficult it is to deal with people as quick as Liam when you are a full-back and it's not an enjoyable experience at all".
