Fenton On Cherries

Speaking to the Bournemouth Evening Echo about facing one of his old Clubs, Fenton is quoted as saying: "Eddie was captain when I was at Bournemouth and he was a great player. I was only young at the time and he was fantastic to play alongside. He was a good professional and you could always see him going into management and coaching. I hope he does well and I hope he keeps them up. I know I was only there for a couple of loan spells but I really enjoyed it and I'm desperate for them to get out of trouble. It's a massive game for both of us. We're 13 points ahead of Bournemouth and, if we win, it'll be 16 with a game in hand. Victory would go a long way to guaranteeing safety for us this season. It's hard to see why Bournemouth are still in the predicament they are in because they played us off the park and we were delighted to escape with a draw. It wasn't our best performance but Bournemouth played very well and we thought they would easily get out of trouble. But they are still in the thick of it and desperate for points".
