Speaking to BBC Radio Solent, Steve Fletcher has announced that he is undergo surgery to look at his lonf running knee problem. He was quoted as saying: "I'm still getting a bit of fluid on the knee, even though I'm resting it practically every day bar one during the week. I'm only training on a Thursday or a Friday and I've only been able to play a few minutes here or there, so there's obviously something causing a problem. It could be just a little flush through - I'd be back in three weeks. It's a bit like an MOT on my knee, but I'd rather know one way or the other - I can't keep going on like this. But I've had 11 arthroscopes on my left knee - I don't think one more is going to finish me off!"
