Focussed On The Immediate Future

Despite the fact that his loan period is due to come to an end in a few weeks time, Cherries midfielder, Andrew Surman cannot be sure where his future lies at this moment in time, but is fully focussed on the immediate task of trying to get AFC Bournemouth out of the Championship given that there could be an uncertain future at Carrow Road for him.

Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Surman is quoted as saying: "I am not exactly sure if I am being honest. I think it is something which is just going to have to wait until the summer. I am fully focused on what is happening here at the moment. We have five games left and I am concentrating my efforts on those. I know I am not going back to Norwich between now and the end of the season so I want to see out the season here, do as well as I can and then assess the situation in the summer. I’ve got a year left at Norwich so a lot will depend on what happens there. I will discuss my options at the end of the season and see what happens. The manager reiterated that after the Reading game and told us not to get too carried away. It would be easy to look five games ahead and think we could be in the play-offs. We have to take each game as it comes and Yeovil is going to be another tough one because they are scrapping for their lives at the bottom of the league. It is going to be a different test but a test all the same so we are not going to take it lightly and will show them the respect they deserve".
