Speaking after the match to BBC Radio Solent, Foley was quoted as saying: "For the last game of the season you want to put on a show for the fans and we didn't really do that first half but I thought we came out second half, showed some good character and played well. The lads knew we weren't playing well and we got a little bit of a bollocking from the gaffer. We knew we had to come out second half, it was the last forty-five minutes of the season. We did a lot better to be fair".

About his goal ..... "It was nice I haven't got one in a while so it was nice. I thought the third one [freekick] was in but the keeper made a very good save. I think Fletcher got a flick on it but fair play to the keeper, he made a good save".
