Football League Blocks Any Further Signings

The Football League has blocked the Cherries from making any further signings as the ownership saga continues.

Chief Exec, Saverimutto, is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "As it stands at the moment, for the simple fact that the business of AFCB is being aired in the public domain, the Football League are extremely nervous about taking further approvals. As we know, I was able to sign five players in the January window, which was five more than most people thought we would sign. That was a very positive move and I worked tooth and nail to get to that position. However, because of what's happened here in the past two weeks, and the public airing of what's going on, the Football League are very nervous. And as a result of this, Jake Thomson's imminent loan extension may well be delayed. This is why I've said all along from the beginning that I continue to work with the people that I know and have association with. These people are good for the football club and it's whether they wish to take the challenge on and I hope they will. Until these things happen, I fear that the Football League will not approve any further movement of players to this football club".
