Forest Reaction - Cherries

Speaking on the Clubs Official Web Site, manager Kevin Bond is quoted as saying: "I was proud of the lads. They gave it a real go today and thoroughly deserved the point. We were hanging on a bit late on, but you'd expect that. Last year we put in far too many half decent performances to concede a late goal. It was important that we didn't do that today and there were a lot of pleasing performances out there. I wasn't sure what to expect and it'll take a few games for them all to gel together. We've got some players who need matches still, but overall I was very pleased. They rallied round; there was a good spirit and good resolve. There were a lot of tired legs at the end, but they hung in well and got what they deserved. The back two did their jobs really well. They limited Forest's chances in the first half and we coped with them really well. And we had two chances of our own. Garreth O'Connor just got the ball on the wrong foot and their keeper made a great save from Josh".

Josh Gowling was quoted after the match as saying: "I thought we were solid throughout the match today. We had a ropey period in the second half, but I thought Ryan and I played really well together and it was great to get that clean sheet. We've worked together in training and built up an understanding. As a unit we've worked all week in training. We weren't sure whether Telfs was going to come in and play right back or whether Pearcy would. But Pearce has done an excellent job on the right hand side".
