Their manager, Colin Calerwood, is quoted on their Official Web Site as saying: "Although it wasn't perfect, we had chances to win the game 1-0 and had we done so everyone would have gone home happy. I thought the players worked extremely hard but you must give Bournemouth credit for doing the same and I have to say that they probably deserved the point. Obviously, we were disappointed not to get all three points but not many championships or promotions are won on the opening day of the season. It's a long road ahead. There were some plus points for us. We didn't look as though we would be beaten too easily - and that pleased me".
