Franchise Preview

Of all the pre-seasons witnessed in recent years, this pre-season has not been an easy one for the Cherries. Behind the scenes legal action in the High Court could have seen the Club close a week ago, which meant that signing any players was just about impossible!

But we're still here, despite the efforts of others, and will have three new signings making their debuts tomorrow. Stephen Cooke returns from Aston Villa, Josh Gowling returns to English football from 2 years in Denmark, and Andrew Surman comes to Dean Court on a months loan from Southampton.

Hardly ideal preparation when you consider the loss of Purches due to injury on top of the on going absense of Warren Cummings and Karl Broadhurst and the departures of Wade Elliott and Garreth O'Connor and Alan Connell!!

In complete contrast, the Franchise holders have had a relatively smooth build up to the new season with few headaches for Danny Wilson to worry about.

Prediction tomorrow ........ probably a home win (when was the last time we won our opening fixture), or a draw at best!
