Fraser Taking Guidance On Avoing Injury

With barely a third of the season gone, one definite bright spot for AFC Bournemouth has been the breath of fresh air that have been the performances of Ryan Fraser as he plagues Championship defences.

But Fraser readily admits that he is prone to a niggling hamstring problem. On this, Fraser is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I don’t quite know what was wrong with my hamstring, it was something to do with my lower back and my pelvis and it has been a difficult one to deal with. I am really inflexible but, for somebody who has a bit of pace, I have never really had any problems with it before. This was the first time so it was a weird one for me. On top of training, I have been to see the chiropractor twice a week to have bits of treatment while keeping up my fitness. She has helped me sort it all out and we will see where that takes me. They said my running was okay, it was more a case of making sure I stretch every day after training which I hadn’t been doing, but I’m going to start. Being so young, I just needed a nudge in the right direction to do that and, hopefully, it will help me stay injury free. Maybe it has all caught up with me but I don’t see it as a massive problem. I overstretched while I was with Scotland a few weeks before and jarred it when I came down but, hopefully, it is just a niggle".
